Here at Proper Vintage we thought it was time we wrote another blog. We are getting on with polishing and preparing our stock, much as we were before lockdown, but we can't go to the Alehouse at the end of the day. Our courier is still working so we don't have any problem sending things out. We have even managed to send a coffee table to Berlin recently. I thought today we could showcase a console table which we have just finished. The top is a nice mahogany so we have polished it natural colour. The legs are a bit of an experiment, we've tried a novel way of mixing grey and black paint to give a rather different finish, along with a slight rubbed effect showing hints of the underlying mahogany. All has then been finished with our waterborne lacquer. More photos and details in the shop...
